Morgan Brown

Professional Experience

Morgan joined Miller Monroe & Plyler as an associate attorney in May 2024.  Her practice areas include business law, construction litigation, and personal injury, where she brings a dedicated approach to each case she handles.  Before moving to North Carolina, Morgan practiced law in Louisiana for two years, gaining extensive experience in various legal matters.  Morgan has represented clients in complex legal disputes, appeared in appellate courts, and participated in federal court mediations.  In addition to her practice in Louisiana, she is admitted to the bar in Iowa.

Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Morgan’s academic journey began at the University of Iowa, where she graduated in 2018.  Seeking warmer weather and new opportunities, she relocated to Louisiana to attend law school at Southern University Law Center. Morgan graduated cum laude in May 2022, earning her Juris Doctor degree.  Morgan was actively involved as co-chair of the Office of Student Affairs and contributed to the Board of Student Advisors, the Tax Law Society, and the Class Planning Committee.

Personal

Morgan now resides in Durham, North Carolina, where she has immersed herself in the local community.  She is passionate about running and has completed numerous half-marathons and 5K races.  In her leisure time, Morgan enjoys exploring North Carolina’s culinary scene, playing pickleball, watching movies, and spending quality time with loved ones.
