Jennifer Garvey joined Miller Monroe & Plyler as a paralegal in June 2016. Jennifer is a 2006 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. She went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri in 2012. Jennifer worked as a Police Officer, Detective, Evidence Technician, and Crime Analyst for a Wake County municipality from 2007 – 2014 before joining the North Carolina State Crime Laboratory in Raleigh, NC as an Evidence Technician until 2015. In 2016, Jennifer completed the Paralegal Certificate Program at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jennifer is originally from the Tidewater region of southeast Virginia. After attending school at East Carolina University, Jennifer accepted a job in Wake County and decided to make her home in North Carolina. She currently resides in Franklin County with her husband and three small dogs. Jennifer enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, reading and gardening. She also enjoys cooking and trying new recipes.
